What will I learn?

What if I have never wakeboarderd before?

No problem! Popwake provides a non-intimidating atmosphere with professional guidance, so your first wakeboarding experience can be memorable and fun.

Am I too old?
Answer:
Our oldest person we have taught to wakeboard was age 75. We are trying to beat that record. Popwake offers special adult camps and clinics.

Am I too young?
Answer:
Our youngest person to be taught by our coaches was age 4. Ability to begin wakeboarding will be judged by our coaches during a dry land lesson.

Can I bring my family?
Answer:
Any one can come. Popwake offers hourly and daily family excursions and family camp packages so the whole family can learn together.

What if I dont have my own gear?
Answer:
No problem! Popwake stocks a brand new line of Ronix wakeboards, ropes, handles and coast guard certified Jetpilot safety equipment.

Are there places to stay or camp near Popwake?
Answer:
Popwake is conveniently located on the shores of lake koocanusa. Just 30 minutes from the resort town of Fernie and in walking distance from an abundance of lakeside campgrounds.

Can I just come and ride?
Answer:
Yes you can! Popwake offers freeride tows. Experience the wake of the 'legendary' X-STAR at your own pace. Single tow and/or seasons tow passes are available

Will I ever be able to do an invert?
Answer:
Yes! Inverts on a wakeboard are not the same as the other board sports, they are technical but easy once explained correctly. The nice aspect to inverting on a wakeboard is you always have a water landing! Popwake has proven techniques to get any age and ability inverting in no time. The X-star throws such a big wake at slow speeds that we completely rule out injury as a beginner. If you're serious about inverting please don't go behind your friends boat at 23mph and slap off the water uneccisarily. Give us a call, learn the right way and then show everyone how it's done!
